Security expert Marc Weber Tobias is worried about your front door . . . and your back door, your side door, your windows, and your garage door. His expertise focuses on securing doors and windows, and he knows about the most common threats to that security. One common security threat that has been on the rise since its discovery by locksmiths in Denmark in the 1970s is “lock bumping.” As Tobias can tell you, securing doors and windows – and ultimately, your loved ones and valuables – takes more than the basic lock these days.

What is a “Bump” Key?

A “bump” key works by tricking the tumblers in a pin lock to fall into the correct place for just an instant, but long enough for someone to turn the key and unlock the door. A basic key, a sturdy file, a little pressure, and a gentle “bump” against the key is enough to knock the pin tumblers into place and pop a lock open.

“Any pin tumbler lock that utilizes two or more moving pins within each chamber is at risk. Door locks, post office locks, file cabinet locks, access control override locks, and padlocks. All of them can be bumped if you have the key that will fit the keyway and has been properly cut . . . Are there exceptions? Yes. Can every conventional lock be bumped open? No, but statistically, a very high percentage can,” says Tobias in his online column “The Lockdown.”

Not only can a criminal easily get inside, but you may run into insurance troubles if there is no sign of forced entry. A “bump key” leaves no marks or scratches. It looks as though someone had a key to unlock the door. They did, technically, have a key – a “universal” key.

What can you do to ensure that you are properly securing doors and windows? You can install advanced, contemporary lock technology that has addressed the “bump” key threat and made it irrelevant.

Securing Doors and Windows Against Bump Keys and Other Tricks

Fortunately, since the “bump” trick was developed over 30 years ago, security companies have had time to come up with answers to the threat. If you have locks built before 2005, you might want to consider having them replaced with these more secure models:

Medco – In 2005, Medco introduced its response to the bump key problem by adding an innovation to the design of all of their locks. A piece known as the M3, included in all their models, is an additional pin that is not controlled by the grooves of the key, like a traditional pin, but by the forward motion of the key. A simple bump cannot cheat the M3 into unlocking position. The added level of security within the lock itself helps in securing doors and windows.

Schlage -The Schlage Primus model increases the complexity of a lock’s inner workings by adding a second set of pins along the side of the key that must also be properly manipulated to unlock the door.

Additionally, electronic locks, magnetic locks, and locks using rotating disks are not vulnerable to this “bump” attack.

Extra Protection When Securing Doors and Windows

When you are at home, it’s a good idea to activate that second line of lock defense – the hidden deadbolt, which has no external keyhole. Even if someone bumps their way through the first lock, the hidden deadbolt will stop them long enough to make them give up. A criminal who wants the ease of a bump entry will probably not resort to crowbars and kicking once their bump attempt is blocked by a second lock.

Remarks Tobias: “Yes, locks do matter in protecting a residence. Many burglaries are crimes of opportunity. If the locks prevent bumping and that is the chosen method of attack, then the burglary may not occur.”

Through inexpensive tools and a little practice, lock bumping can be done by anyone

Deadbolts. Chains. Security systems. It seems people will go to any length to keep their home and their belongings safe. But even when the homeowners get smart, so do the crooks. For every lock out there, someone has figured out a way to open it. In some cases, getting in involves lock bumping.

On many locks found on residences, a pin tumbler lock mechanism is in use. Inside the lock there are a series of cylinders known as pins. When a key with cuts corresponding to these pins’ shapes and positions is inserted into the lock’s keyway, the pins are pushed back by a series of small springs and the lock is opened. From inexpensive to very pricey locks, pin tumbler locks all work on this same principle and have been in use since the ancient Egyptians developed the concept in 2000 BC.

Several thousand years younger than the lock itself, lock bumping is a type of lock picking which involves what’s known as a lock bumping key. Much like a skeleton key, a bump key can fit into any pin tumbler lock. Bump keys are created by filing down a key blank to about one millimeter. The “bump” is then done by inserting the bump key into the lock and tapping the key with something such as a screwdriver until the lock’s pin stacks have been jolted enough to free the lock. The technique requires far less skill than traditional lock picking and can be mastered with some practice.

Scary as it may seem, lock bumping can be employed by practically anyone. A relatively new phenomenon, bumping has been seen in use by criminals in the US and Europe since 2002. Documents and several videos available on the Internet detail specifically how to bump a lock and can be instantly accessed by anyone with a computer. Bump keys first appeared in the early 1920’s when the idea was patented as a new method of lock picking. Currently, bump keys can be purchased online for a variety of lock types for as little as $3.00.

Because of the recent surge in the popularity of lock bumping, manufacturers are making strides to make their locks “bump proof”. Locks such as the Schlage Primus have sidebars that, when not aligned properly, keep bump keys from moving the lock’s mechanism. The Primus also involves pins filed to a specific angle that allow only their accompanying keys to open. Similarly, Medeco also makes a deadbolt for residences that is considered to be bump proof. Electronic locks or those that open using a key pad or don’t require a key are also bump proof just by their very nature.

More low-tech methods of preventing lock bumping include spraying the lock with WD-40. In theory, the lubricant, normally used on squeaky door hinges, make the pins inside the lock slippery. The pins then move more freely and may not make the lock entirely bump proof, but will take longer to open with a bump key. The thought is then that the criminal becomes impatient or tired of trying the lock and moves on.

A bicycle lock is a physical security device used on bicycles to prevent theft. They are generally used to fasten the bicycle to a bicycle rack or any immovable object. Bike locks are a safe and inexpensive solution to the safety and security of your bike when you ride to work or school. Even if you don’t commute a bike lock can be handy for stops while taking rides.

One important thing to consider when choosing a bike lock is who will most likely steal your bike. On a busy university campus, for example, thefts are often crimes of convenience when someone spots a bike that hasn’t been locked at all. However, if you ride your bike around an urban centre for commuting, people might have specialised equipment such as crowbars, lock-picks and hacksaws that are no match for weaker locks. Leaving your bike in the same public place for hours at a time, as opposed to a few minutes while you rent a DVD, gives someone even more time to take advantage of your lock’s particular weakness.

You’ll want the best possible bike lock you can afford, since its cost is always less than that of replacing a stolen bicycle. Most people recommend spending about 10% of the value of your bike on its lock. If your bicycle is very precious or expensive, try a combination of several locks when leaving your bike in an unfamiliar area or for an extended period of time.

Materials

Buy a lock or chain of tool-hardened steel. This means that cutting, sawing and drilling tools will be meeting metal of the same hardness, and will not penetrate it as they would ordinary steels. Cheap locks use a brittle steel that can be broken by a car jack. Look for a flexible, shatterproof steel which will yield, rather than break, under stress.

* Consider a U-lock. These are the most popular. However, not all U-locks are created equal. Be sure to read the guarantee that comes with the lock. Also, buy the smallest possible U-lock for your needs – this will allow less room for a thief to some leverage for his or her crowbar or other tools.

* Consider a cable lock. These are the easiest for a thief to cut but are also the most flexible and inexpensive.

* Consider a motorcycle lock. These are very sturdy chain-link-type locks that are nearly impossible to cut through. However, they are extremely heavy.

* Consider a key lock. Key locks are generally harder to break than combination locks.

* O-Locks offer the best protection for your bike. A few manufacturers are marketing them; Bike Club and Masterlock are two that come to mind, but not all bicycle shops carry them. Ask around. The adjustability makes them great for snugly securing the frame and a front wheel to a bike rack. This helps prevent thieves from getting a prying device into the lock. Their locking mechanisms are also difficult to pick.

The bike lock mechanism is composed of two different parts: a structure that fastens your bike to itself or to a stationary railing and the lock itself, both of which have strengths and weaknesses. Some bike locks use combinations, like lockers. While combinations seem secure because they aren’t easy to guess, these kinds of locks are usually strapped to a thin metal chain that is easy to clip apart with bolt cutters. Then again, you don’t have to worry about losing a key if you are prone to forgetfulness, and they are lightweight enough to carry everywhere. Combination locks will work as a visual deterrent against people looking for an easy theft.

Warranty

Good locks will guarantee your bike against theft up to a specified value. As home insurance policies generally does not apply to stolen bikes worth more than INR 23000 or so, this is an important feature. Ensure you have adequate bike insurance.

For many people, weight is an important consideration when selecting a bike lock. Whether you’re training in mountain biking, cross-country marathons, or just visiting a friend, the last thing you want is a twenty-pound weight strapped around your frame slowing you down. There isn’t a precise correlation between weight and strength, however. A special steel, called tool-hardened steel, will at least be as strong as many saws and cutters without being overly heavy.

Some manufacturers offer a warranty along with their lock that may partially reimburse you should your bike disappear. Of course, nothing is absolute. Recently, it came to the attention of concerned bike riders that some types of very secure locks can in fact be opened with the plastic shaft from an ordinary pen. Keep in mind that while every bike lock has its weakness, there are many issues to consider when buying the right one for your bike.

Locks picking can be quite tricky. Not everyone has the skill to pick locks. It takes experience and the skilful locksmith can open a lock in a jiffy. This skill can be learned and self taught. It is acquired and if your interests are locks picking, then perhaps you can find a living from it.

Locks picking shouldn’t be done by yourself because you can spoil the lock in the process of struggling to pick the lock with a wire of some master key. Worse still, the wire gets snapped inside making inserting the master key impossible. So, it is advised to steer clear of jobs you’re not expert at.

It can be quite scary to be locked out alone

It can be quite a scary experience to find that you got locked in or locked out or lost your keys in the process. Opening locks should be done by the professional locksmith who may have a set of master keys or just s simple hooked wire to pick a lock. In the unfortunate event if you find that you got yourself locked in and cannot get out from your room, and there is no one else around the house because you happen to stay alone, then you desperately need a hand phone to call for help. For a start, you can call the telephone operator for the number to any professional locksmith in Canada and that is the critical time when an emergency locksmith can help you out.

Calling for locksmith help

After making the first call to the telephone operator for the locksmith’s number around your area, you need to just dial the number and inform the locksmith of your address and how to get there. The difficult part of summoning for help is done. Next, just sit and wait for a while before you are redeemed from your helpless situation. When the locksmith has arrived, you will hear your outside door lock being picked to be opened. Once the locksmith is inside your house and you are locked in your room, simply wait for him to pick a lock to your door and voila, you are freed.

Relief from being locked in

It would be a great relief to be freed finally from your temporary imprisonment. Situations like this do happen but you will be lucky to carry your cell phone around to call for help anytime. It would be worse if they person who is locked in has no access to the phone or any form of help. Because people may be careless in leaving their keys around or lose their keys, they need to call the locksmith to pick their locks in order to get into their house. There are some locksmiths offering 24-hour service so that you can summon them any time in case of emergency for opening locks. Not many would be so dedicated to operate round the clock for their clients.

Years of Skill to Pick a Lock

It takes years of skill to learn locks picking. If you are quick, you can learn it in a few months time. That’s something eerie and can be quite tricky as well. Of course, you’re not supposed to be a locksmith at first place. That’s why there are not many locksmiths around and fewer would offer their services on a 24 hour basis. But it comes in handy to know their contact numbers; should you one day need a locksmith for opening locks. To sum up, you should never pick a lock yourself to invite more trouble to an already troubled situation. It is sensible to get a locksmith to do it for you.

During the summer of 2007, a rash of mysterious burglaries occurred in the Dallas, Texas area. Residents of upscale apartment complexes would return home at the end of the day to find their doors unlocked and their apartments robbed. Even more puzzling, the thieves were able to hit a dozen or more apartments in one day! How did they do this?

Detective Scott Peterson was the one to finally solve the crime, discovering that the thieves, later known as the “Bump Key Bandits,” were employing lock bumping, a technique often used by locksmiths to open doors.

A locksmith in Denmark first developed the technique of lock bumping. At first, the method was to insert a key and apply a slight pressure while tapping on it with a hammer or screwdriver. The force caused the tumblers in the key’s cylinder to jiggle and sometimes open up. Sometime around 2002, a simple tool called a “bump key” was developed to make the process easier. Bump keys are not illegal, and can easily be purchased on the internet. In fact, most commercial and residential locksmiths keep bump keys in their arsenal of tools for opening locked doors.

In 2005 Barry Wels and Rop Gonggrijp of the Dutch organization TOOOL (The Open Organization of Lockpickers) drafted a paper detailing the method and application of lock bumping. This technique finally attracted a great deal of attention in 2005 following the broadcast of a Dutch television show. The show detailed the risk of illegal entry and potential for theft by using lock bumping techniques.

Around the same time, an American security expert, Marc Tobia, began to publicly discuss the technique and its serious security risks. This information began to circulate through the media, and criminals in the United States and other countries quickly took note. Now there are numerous online resources for anyone wanting to learn how to bump locks. Kits for making bump keys are readily available to anyone with a credit card, and thus the technique of lock bumping has become a major security risk to the general public.

So how do you protect yourself and your family? Ironically, many high quality locks on the market today only make lock bumping easier. Very expensive locksets are manufactured with precise tolerances in the key cylinder. Because the pins work so smoothly, lock bumping becomes much easier. Furthermore, locks made of hardened steel are even more vulnerable because they are less prone to damage during the bumping process, whereas a cheaper lock is more likely to jam and not open.

Locks with security pins (for example, spool or mushroom pins) combined with a regular tumbler mechanism generally make lock bumping more difficult. Electronic locks, magnetic locks, and locks using rotating disks are even better options because they can rarely if ever be opened via lock bumping. Another option is a type of lock featuring “trap pins.” The pins in these locks’ key cylinders are designed to jamb when someone tries to bump the lock.

Many companies now sell “bump proof” or “bump resistant” locks; however, bear in mind that as of yet, there is still no official standard as to what constitutes a “bump proof” lock. For absolute security, look for locks that don’t have a slot for a key, such as touchpad locksets requiring you to enter a combination to open the door. After all, a thief can’t enter your home with a bump key if there’s no place to insert it!

Apartment dwellers remain the most vulnerable to lock bumping attacks. Because most apartment locks can all be opened by one master key, they are extremely easy to bump, thus the reason why the Dallas thieves targeted only apartment complexes. If you do rent an apartment, insist that the locks be changed before you move in, so that prior residents cannot enter your home. If your landlord refuses to change the locks, inquire if you can replace them on your own. If all else fails, choose a safety prop or some other device to prevent unauthorized entry.

Lock bumping might be referred to as lock picking’s lesser known cousin. It’s an unfamiliar term at best. It is, however, at least as big a problem as lock picking, and perhaps even more sinister for what it entails. Bumping is a type of lock picking. Instead of using typical lock picking tools though, all that is required is the use of a bump key. It has, for this reason, the potential to be much more sinister than lock picking.

One of the biggest problems is that few locks are immune from lock bumping. This is because most locks work on the same principle. The most common type of lock, found on every home and business in the world, is the pin-and-tumbler lock. To understand how lock bumping works, it helps to understand how a pin and tumbler system functions.

Inside every pin and tumbler lock is a cylinder (or key cylinder.) Within the cylinder is a chamber (the plug) containing stacks of pins. The pins it contains vary in length. When the correct key is inserted into the cylinder, the ridges or teeth on the key match the pins inside. Rotating the key causes the pins to spring apart and the plug to rotate. This rotation releases the latch from the door jamb.

Trying to insert the wrong key will produce one of two results. Either the key will not enter the cylinder at all, or, it will enter the cylinder, but won’t be able to rotate the plug because the match is incorrect.

Old-school lock picking usually requires a broad range of tools. Lock bumping, in contrast, requires only one special key. A lock bump key looks like an ordinary door key. It would be unlikely to draw any suspicion, were it to be used to gain illegal entry to a home.

To the untrained eye, a bump key might pass for a regular key. A closer inspection, though, would reveal that the teeth (or ridges) and the notches are even. All of the cuts, in fact, are made to maximum depth. They may also be referred to as “dummy keys” or “999″ keys. The number “999″ is derived from the fact that the cuts are all made to a depth of nine.

Opening a door lock with a 999 key isn’t as simple as simply inserting and turning. It does take a particular feel and a certain degree of practice, just as old-fashioned lock picking does.

What is alarming about lock bumping is that only two tools are required: a 999 key and a small “bump tool.” A would-be criminal will draw much less attention to himself with a bump key than with a set of locksmithing tools.

Two other major factors increase the likelihood that home and business or commercial property owners will become the target of a lock bumper:

1) Lock bumping can be learned from the Internet. Unfortunately, the World Wide Web is rife with how-to video teaching this practice.

2) Bump keys can be purchased relatively easily over the Internet. It’s almost as easy as finding how-to videos.

Home and business owners are left in a vulnerable position. However, there are things property owners to can do to protect themselves:

* Use a deadbolt lock in addition to a cylindrical or other type of door lock. Deadbolt locks are much harder to bump than other types of locks. Using both types has long been advised by locksmiths and security experts anyway. This is just one more good case for doing so.

* Use an after market product. Anti-bumping products can be purchased at hardware stores and online. They are almost always worth the expense for the extra protection they provide.

* Purchase anti-bump locks. Many lock manufacturers have come to recognize the magnitude of the problem. They have begun to produce locks with extra anti-pick and anti-bump features built right in.

By employing one or more of these methods, property owners may decrease their chances of becoming victims of lock bumping by fifty percent or more.

One of the most frustrating things that can happen to anyone (and likely has happened to everyone) is securing a lock on a locker or drawer or something like that, putting your key in a “safe” place, and then when the time comes, you cannot find the key to open it. While this can be annoying, there is a way of going around this, and that is by picking the lock with a hairpin.

The technique is something that most people are familiar with, as the act has been shown in the movies and on TV many times. But how does it work exactly, and can anyone do it? Yes, everyone can.

To learn how to use the hairpin though, you must first know exactly how a key works. What all keys have in common are the ridges, and they are there not for decoration, but for opening a lock. What the ridges actually do is to find the corresponding match in the lock (when you turn it in the lock). When they match, the lock will open.

Instead of using a hammer, the hairpin is a better option. Any kind will do, but the thinner and more flexible, the better. It should have ridges too, as that will play the part that is usually performed by the key.

The first thing you should do is flatten the hairpin. You can do this with fingers, but you should make sure that it doesn’t snap in two. Once you have straightened it out, insert the hairpin into the lock, with the ridge side applied in the same manner as the key ridge.

To pick the lock with the hairpin, start turning the hairpin the same direction as you would the key. Because every key and lock works differently, you should move the pin in the same way as you would the particular key for that lock. As you turn it, apply some pressure on the pin, careful not to break it.

The correct way to pick the lock is by holding and rotating the hairpin in a firm but gentle manner. After a short while, provided you have followed the direction correctly, the lock will open.

One of the problems of picking a lock with a hairpin is that a rapid application will result in another lockup. If instead of opening it gets locked again, remove the hairpin, reinsert and repeat the process. Again, it should be emphasized that hurrying up the process will not open the lock faster, but might damage both lock and hairpin.

Once you have opened the lock, do not forget to remove the pin as it might get stuck in the lock. When you find your key, try it again, just to make sure the lock was not damaged in any way. In many cases, the lock won’t be damaged at all, but those that are picking a lock for the first time might be too aggressive in their approach.

Opening a lock with a hairpin may sound more complicated than it is; it will only take a few practice attempts and you will have the hang of it in no time. It won’t take long to learn, and it is a valuable skill to have.

A number of security products companies, such as Schlage Locks, produce interconnected locks which are suitable for a variety of commercial applications. Interconnected locks have several advantages for commercial use.

Interconnected locks by Schlage Locks are locks which combine both a standard cylindrical lock/latch mechanism with a deadbolt. The mechanism appears to be two separate components: a deadbolt lock and a cylindrical lock. To unlock a door from the outside, an interconnected lock requires inserting keys into both locking mechanisms. However, from the inside, both the cylindrical lock bar and the deadbolt lock can be released simultaneously with one single motion.

Interconnected locks make a quick exit possible, which is critically important during an emergency situation. Double-Locking mechanisms have the added security of re-locking when they close. This is particularly advantageous when an emergency requires the evacuation of an entire building. Owners and tenants can have peace of mind that the building’s contents will remain secure even when no one is inside the building.

Because only one motion from the inside opens both the regular lock and the deadbolt, the interconnected lock is particularly advantageous for a number of commercial building applications, including:

1) Commercial buildings which serve as residences for the elderly or sick, such as nursing homes. Since only one motion is required to release both locks, precious seconds can be saved when the elderly or the sick or their caregivers are required to exit a room quickly in an emergency, such as a fire. In buildings which primarily serve elderly or the infirm, it is recommended that interconnected locks with lever-style releases be installed. Lever releases are typically easier for elderly people to operate, especially in a situation where panic may easily take over. The Schlage Lock S210PDF95 Single Locking and S251PDF97 Double Locking are designed for indoor entrance doors such as these.

2) Schools and daycare centers. Commercial buildings such as these must be able to provide security for children, plus limited access to children from outside the building. Interconnected locks, such as the Schlage Lock S270 PD Classroom lock allows classroom doors to remain locked to the public from the outside. However, from the inside, doors can be unlocked with relative ease by an adult or by children, with both the cylindrical lock latch and deadbolt releasing simultaneously. The door automatically locks when it closes. This feature means that the door does not have to be manually re-locked each time someone exits.

3) Storerooms. Rooms that are used for storage, janitor’s supplies closets, etc. don’t necessarily require a heavy-duty locking mechanism, but still need to be locked when necessary. The Schlage Locks S280PDF98 Storeroom Lock discourages burglary and vandalism, while making a quick exit from inside possible without a key. When installed, the door can only be opened from outside with a key, limiting its accessibility to authorized personnel only. The latch engages automatically every time the door shuts.

The Schlage Locks S200 series of interconnected locks are designed for indoor, light-to-medium duty use. They provide a strong degree of indoor security for commercial buildings, and peace of mind for those who live in, work in, and own the buildings. The S200 series keeps both personal and corporate property safe, while at the same time protecting human lives in the event of an emergency.

Every lock has a weakness, and any person with enough determination, time, or access to the internet will find out how to break it. The fact of the matter is, even if you have a relatively unbreakable lock, the thief doesn’t need to break the lock in the place you parked your motorcycle. A couple of strong guys or a small winch can lift a locked motorcycle into a van and drive off with it, giving them all the time they need to break your lock. To secure your motorcycle, being aware of your environment and remember the tips below for keeping away from the thieves:

* Park where the motorcycle can be easily seen and well-lit, and near where people are working, such as shops and restaurants

* Avoid parking your motorcycle behind trucks or other vehicles that may have limited visibility when backing-up

* Park your motorcycle in clusters to be more obvious

* Walk out to your motorcycle every few minutes and check on it, especially during the first 10 – 15 minutes your motorcycle is parked

* Use different types of locks (barrel key, flat key, combination, etc.). The more types of locks there are the more tools the thief needs to crack them.

Do remember to lock your motorcycle after parking it

Lock Your Motorcycle to Make the Theft Hesitate

* The Facts: only 26% of stolen motorcycles are recovered with the majority having suffered major damage

* 50% of motorcycle riders don’t lock their bikes

* 80% of stolen motorcycles are taken from the owner’s home

* 60% of motorcycles stolen are broken-up for parts

* the theft rate is twice that of cars

* the professional can steal your motorcycles in as little as 15 seconds, even with a lock

Important Factors to Purchase a Lock for Your Motorcycle

* choice of lock material

* motorcycle lock manufacturing process

* shape of the motorcycle lock that people use in different countries

* strength of motorcycle lock

Motorcycle Security Devices

There are different motorcycle security devices, including motorcycle alarms, motorcycle cable locks, motorcycle disc locks, motorcycle security chains, motorcycle U locks, etc. To secure your motorcycle, finding a lock maker with years experience and insists using high quality material to enhance the strength of locks would be important.

Motorcycle Alarm

Consider fitting a paging alarm, these are getting cheaper all the time.

motorcycle alarm system

Talking alarms are better than sirens; people tend to listen more when it’s a human voice. Lots of motorcycle alarm products are thoroughly ruggedized and waterproof, and some motorcycle alarm systems are designed exclusively for installation on Cruisers, Harley Davidson, and custom motorcycles.

Motorcycle Cable Lock

A motorcycle cable lock that you can loop around a lamppost of similar is the best bet. Motorcycle cable lock is great for locking the frame of your motorcycle to the front wheel, or for locking your scooter to a fixed object. Most of motorcycle cable Lock’s locking mechanism is stainless steel and brass, it gives you protection from rust, and is encased in thick hardened plastic.

Motorcycle Disc Lock

Motorcycle disc lock is a great way to secure your motorcycle. They are portable (in the case of disc locks, they will fit in your pocket), relatively difficult to break (compared to a garden-variety chain), and easy-to-use. The only drawback is the size of disc locks might make you forget about them, and to avoid that you could Lock your helmet to it or clip the ignition key to the lock key after locking. Or you could just simply put a sticker on it to remind yourself.

Giant Seal Disc Brake Lock GS-3028

The motorcycle disc lock

Motorcycle Security Chain

Security chains can be heavy to lift and it could discourage the theft to steal.

Security chains are strong cut resistance and the protective coating helps prevent scratching. The special steel alloy welded links are case hardened to resist sawing attack and deep through hardened to resist bolt cropping. In addition, it represents excellent value for money.

Motorcycle U Lock

Motorcycle U Locks are made of steel with the U shape. They are used to secure the motorcycle. Lock core design provides the highest degree of protection against picking; some keys are equipped with mini flash lights. Motorcycle U locks use durable PVC sleeve covers chrome steel shackle to prevent marring and scratching, their hardened solid steel lock prevents prying, sawing and hammer impacts. U-locks are ideal for bicycles, motorcycles, spare tires, trailers, etc.
